I first heard about the drink, Dark N Stormy, which contained ginger beer and something called Gosling’s Black Seal Rum. I love rum (who doesn’t) and decided to set my sights on getting my hands on some of this stuff. Finally, the chance to purchase presented itself and viola! Gosling’s Black Seal Rum.
I’m a big fan of the Cuba Libre, so I decided to make one using Gosling’s. I found it first to be very pungent with the smell of molasses. The taste was the same. There was a slight bitter aftertaste followed by a sweet molasses finish. This is definitely an interesting rum that bears a little more scrutiny and tasting to give a full review. Of course, happenstance I locate Ginger Beer locally, and not just Ginger Ale, I plan on mixing a Dark N Stormy.

I like Gosling`s a lot and Dark`N Stormy too. Its a good rum and which is useful in many cocktails and cooking as well.

I love Gosling’s Black Seal. Ginger beer (both actual beer and the soda) are available in several of my local supermarkets / liquor stores. I hope you are able to find some soon.
Besides a Dark and Stormy, I’ve had something called the Midnight Express which I enjoyed very much. Here’s a link to my blog post about it:

Give it a try, I think you will like it.
