A funeral director by trade, I am an ardent cocktail enthusiast who enjoys mixing drinks for family and friends. I’m not an expert, but enthused about learning anything and everything about cocktails and spirits. In this blog, I will give my personal opinions about certain cocktails and spirits. I welcome your comments and feedback.
I feel compelled to offer some sort of explanation of the theme and name of my blog. While some of you may have gotten it, most I feel, have not, and thus here goes the 411.
My day (and sometimes, night) job is that of a funeral director or undertaker. My hobby is, of course, cocktails, cocktail history, and shoot, just about anything and everything about them. I never dreamed however, of the tremendous amount of information there is about cocktails, recipes, etc. So much of a huge undertaking. Hmmm…. My chosen profession is that of an undertaker– the name which is defunct in everyday conversation, but essentially means one who undertakes a task that others cannot. Think of this, bartenders, mixologists, enthusiasts…how many times has someone solicited your opinion or recommendation for a drink or spirit purchase? Seems like they are entrusting a lot to you.
So maybe you’ve guessed it. It is a very daunting task this hobby of mine. No, I don’t think that booze = death or such craziness. Overindulgence, maybe. Hopefully, what will be found here is an appreciation for spirits of all types, along with an understanding that moderation is key. I definitely don’t want your business like that…
Enough of the serious talk… So grab yourself your favorite cocktail, browse the site, and don’t forget my motto!
‘Enjoy life….there is enough time to be dead’.

Look into “Taste of Florida” mixers. I recently did a side-by-side taste test and it is clear that mixers are a underdeveloped catogory. The majority of the leading brands do not use real juicies. Check it out and let me know.
